Rio Negro addressed key projects for the provincial development in 2024

In the framework of the 61st Ordinary Assembly of the Federal Investment Council (CFI) yesterday, Río Negro presented the projects financed by the national organism through the provincial Planning Secretariat.

The Secretary of State for Planning, Daniel Sanguinetti, represented Río Negro, while the meeting was led by the CFI Secretary General, Ignacio Lamothe, and included representatives of the 23 Argentine provinces and the autonomous city of Buenos Aires. The objective was to address the progress made in each district during the year and the general guidelines for 2024.

During the last meeting of this year, Río Negro presented some of the projects financed by the national agency, through the Planning Secretariat, among which the following stand out: Projects for the urban and sustainable development of different cities; Master Plan for Security 2023; urban territorial development projects in Río Colorado; Potable Water Master Plan for Fernández Oro and Villa Regina. The advanced preliminary project for the future Complejo Cultural in Bariloche, support for Southern Right Whale watching tourism in San Matías Gulf; consultancy for the survey, analysis, and design of connectivity in Bariloche and surrounding areas; qualitative analysis of the Global Challenges for the Development and Production of Green Hydrogen in Río Negro; among many others.

The preliminary Architectural and Urban Project for an Exhibition Centre and an Arena for events in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, and the conceptual design of the Expo 2027 Green Corridor also stand out.

The organism also accompanied the province's participation in the International Tourism Fair, the Book Fair, Arminera 2023, and Meet Up 2023, among others; and promoted the development of international training and events such as the Global Green Hydrogen Forum 2023 and the Meeting of Patagonian Governors; as well as technical and commercial missions of global relevance, support for the development of agreements and special programmes aimed at various provincial productive sectors. 

Regarding the meeting, Sanguinetti highlighted the importance of having a purely federal space that, in addition to enabling the exchange, enriches the work being done from the possibility of implementing the axes of development designed at the national level.
