The Governor emphasized the work being carried out and considered that hydrogen "is a real opportunity for the world, because it allows storing energy without generating waste, a particularity that interested me many years ago".

She quickly summarized all the advances achieved in the Strategic Plan, even in the middle of the pandemic, and emphasized that this project represents "an opportunity for local action, for a global incidence", although she stressed that this will depend on an adequate organization of the territorial intervention.

She explained that her role "has to do with defending the interests of my people and defending the natural resources, which belong to the Argentine people and to the residents of my province".

She emphasized the support of the National Government to find investors in a project that "has very demanding clauses, because we understand that investment in hydrogen must be for future generations and for the development of our people, not to generate excessive ambitions".

On the future of hydrogen, Carreras was optimistic and declared that "from the energy crisis and the new energies, there is an opportunity to change the link between the countries that consume and the countries that produce". And she said that from Rio Negro "we are environmentalists, we are interested in the climate with a global vision, and a project like this one interests us only if it benefits and improves the quality of life of our local population".

The German Embassy in Argentina organizes the Future Forum, and its objective is the modernization of the economies, the political, economic, scientific and cultural interaction between both countries, and the development of different agreements and collaborations.

Carreras was part of the panel together with the special representative for international climate policy of the Federal Foreign Office in Germany, Jennifer Morgan; the Secretary of Energy of the Nation, Flavia Royón; the Executive Director Hispanic Countries of LATAM South; Fernando Inocente and the referent of Taller Ecologista, Pablo Bertinat.

The participation of the Governor in this Future Forum is part of the work being developed together with Germany, which included the recent visit of Ambassador Ulrich Sante to the province.
