Carreras was first received by the Executive Director of the IEA, Mary Burce Warlick, with whom they shared views on the world's energy situation, a meeting in which the Governor had the opportunity to present the actual situation of Rio Negro and particularly the initiatives for the production of green hydrogen.

Later, the Governor had a meeting with a technical team led by Joerg Husar, Senior Advisor for the Global Energy Dialogue and Program Manager for Latin America, to whom she presented the technical aspects of her government's policy on the matter, while coordinating actions for the short term.

At the working meeting, the head of the IEA, Mary Burce Warlick, showed interest in the different energy developments carried out by Río Negro, thus generating an interrelationship that will be reflected in a collaborative work in the future. In particular, the Governor was able to explain the Green Hydrogen policy and show the projects, progress and alternatives of these initiatives.

"The IEA brings together energy activities around the world, and has a significant number of associated countries, including Argentina. We have had the opportunity to show and support our project in a very productive meeting," said Governor Carreras, who was together with the Executive Director of the Industrial and Technological Park of Bariloche, Lorenzo Raggio.

"On the other hand, we had a second more specific meeting, where we addressed the developments that Rio Negro has in terms of Green Hydrogen. We were also able to learn about the global scenario in this matter", explained the Governor.

These meetings have a double result: on the one hand, the possibility of presenting the Rio Negro project and on the other hand, to develop actions together with the IEA in the future.

In this regard, Carreras said: "We have a work agenda that has already been established between the Agency and the Province of Río Negro. We have been detecting the most fruitful areas for us to start interacting. On the other hand, they are interested in holding a seminar in Paris about the progress and developments we have in Rio Negro. It is a great pleasure to show the world what Rio Negro has achieved".

She also said: "We were especially working on the aspects of local development, integration of communities and, of course, on the scientific and technological effects of the important achievements of Río Negro, because we are also known worldwide for our scientific and technological capacity.

Finally, Governor Carreras thanked the Argentine Embassy in Paris "for developing these important links for the continuity of this State policy of Río Negro".

The International Energy Agency or IEA is an international organization created by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to coordinate the energy policies of its member states, with the aim of ensuring reliable, affordable and clean energy.
